A high quality, alcohol based, penetrating dye for smooth leather, suede and nubuck.
Use Saphir Teinture Francaise Dye to change the colour, restore and refresh even the most worn leather items, or as an edge dressing on leather soles and heels.
Also suitable to create a patina which imitates the effects of natural ageing on leather.

For best results, ensure the leather or suede/nubuck has been thoroughly cleaned first.
How to use:
Test the dye in an inconspicious spot first, such as the tongue, to ensure it doesn't react with the leather and gives the desired result.
If it passes the test, apply the dye over your shoe in thin, even coats.
Wait for at least an hour between coats to allow the dye to soak into the leather and dry properly. After the first coat, it can sometimes appear to have green or blue undertones. This will eventually darken to a deep black with successive coats.
Apply repeat coats until the desired intensity of colour is obtained. This could be up to 4 coats if you're changing the colour from a darker colour to black.
A couple of hours after the last coat has been applied, it his highly recommended that you nourish leather with a Black Creme Surfine. This is because the dye can cause the leather to dry out a little. The Creme Surfine will also provide an element of protection.
